Frequently Asked Questions
Curious about tarot, intuitive guidance, or what happens during a Soulful Roots Tarot reading? These answers will help you understand my approach, prepare for your session, and decide whether I am the right reader for you.
1. Is this your first tarot reading? Here is what you can expect.
You do not need to know anything about tarot or arrive perfectly prepared. We will begin with a brief conversation about my approach and how to receive the greatest benefit from your session. If you feel nervous, take a breath. Nervousness is often excitement without the breath.
We can explore specific themes, such as relationships, career, family, friendship, or personal growth, or allow the cards to reveal what most needs your attention. We will close with a final Wrap-Up Card oracle card. Afterward, you will receive a follow-up email with your audio or video recording, an AI-assisted written summary, your oracle card and message, and personalized reflection questions or Self-Work/homework. These resources are included as part of your reading.
2. Do I need to prepare questions, and what can I ask?
You do not need prepared questions, but they can give your reading greater focus and depth. You may ask about relationships, career, family, friendships, personal patterns, decisions, spiritual growth, and other meaningful areas of your life.
I do not read on:
-
Death or harm to yourself or another person
-
Curses or spell work
-
Pregnancy, miscarriage, fertility, or pregnancy outcomes
-
Questions requiring medical, legal, financial, or mental-health diagnosis or advice
If a question falls outside my ethical boundaries, I will help you find a safer and more constructive way to explore the concern.
3. Will you predict my future, and what if difficult information comes through?
A reading explores the energy, patterns, and possibilities surrounding you at that moment. It does not declare a fixed or guaranteed future. Circumstances can change, and you always have free will.
People often seek tarot because they want assurance, want to ease the grief of uncertainty, and need to know whether things will get better. I am a realist and a truth teller. I will communicate what I genuinely see with care and respect, but I will not change a message simply to provide reassurance. Come with an open heart and a discerning mind.
4. Can you tell me what another person is thinking or feeling?
I cannot enter another person’s mind or claim to know their private thoughts with certainty. I may be able to explore their energy, the dynamic between you, and the patterns influencing your connection.
The reading will ultimately return the focus to you: what you are experiencing, what is within your control, what boundaries may be needed, and what choices are available.
5. Will you tell me whether to leave a relationship, quit a job, or make another major decision?
Absolutely not. You are the executive decision-maker of your own life.
If you are considering different paths, I can offer a comparison reading to explore the energy and possibilities surrounding each option. The reading provides perspective, not instructions or guarantees. The final decision remains yours.
6. Do I need to believe in tarot, and is it compatible with my religion?
You do not need unquestioning belief, but curiosity, openness, and a willingness to participate will help you receive the greatest benefit. You are always encouraged to use your own judgment and discernment.
Whether tarot is compatible with your religion is something you must decide for yourself. I welcome people from all faiths, spiritual paths, and cultural backgrounds, and I do not require you to share my personal beliefs.
7. How often should I book a reading?
Book when you genuinely need insight, perspective, assurance, or support. I do not encourage frequent readings on the same subject, as they can create confusion and make it harder to trust yourself.
Tarot should strengthen your relationship with yourself, not replace your judgment or become your primary source of emotional regulation. If repeated readings appear to be reinforcing anxiety or dependence, I may recommend taking a break or seeking another form of support.
8. What is the difference between tarot, psychic, intuitive, astrology, clairvoyance, medium, and spiritual consultation?
Tarot uses symbolic cards to explore questions and possibilities.
Psychic insight refers to information perceived beyond ordinary observation or analysis, which may include impressions about energy, relationships, or possible future events.
Intuitive insight draws upon inner knowing, emotional and energetic awareness, symbolism, and pattern recognition to help someone understand their present circumstances and available choices.
Astrology uses your birth date, time, and location to interpret your birth chart and explore your personality, relationships, life themes, natural strengths, challenges, and significant cycles of change.
Psychometry involves intuitively sensing information or energy through an object, such as jewelry, or through a photograph.
Clairvoyance, or “clear seeing,” involves receiving intuitive images, symbols, or visual impressions. Medium refers specifically to communication believed to come from people who have died or from the spirit world.
Spiritual consultation is a broader conversation that may include intuition, spiritual practices, reflection, and practical guidance.
My Soulful Roots Tarot approach combines tarot, psychic and intuitive insight, clairvoyance, astrology, spiritual consultation, and, when relevant, intuitive impressions from photographs. I have training and experience in psychometry, although object readings and mediumship are not currently a standard part of my services. I bring these tools together to help you understand what is happening, recognize patterns and possibilities, and decide how you want to move forward.
9. Are readings confidential, and what happens to recordings?
Your privacy matters. What you share during our session is treated as private, and I do not share the details of your reading.
Your audio or video recording is stored privately and made available for you to download. Recordings are deleted from my storage within 30 days, so please download and save your copy before that period ends.
10. Can tarot replace professional care, and why should I choose a Soulful Roots Tarot reading?
Tarot does not replace therapy, medical treatment, legal counsel, financial guidance, crisis support, or any other qualified professional service. It can help you reflect, recognize patterns, consider your options, and identify where additional support may be helpful.
A Soulful Roots Tarot reading is an honest, collaborative, and deeply human conversation. I bring intuition, experience, life-coaching skills, education, compassion, humour, and a commitment to doing my own emotional work.
You will leave with your agency intact, along with practical resources that help you revisit and integrate the reading.
My purpose is not to become the authority over your life.
My purpose is to help you hear yourself more clearly.
